I guess you would say I reverse sniped myself..........

Sold a roll of proof lincolns for $225 on Ebay last PM

Had a second roll so I sent the runner up bidder a second chance offer at around $220.

I forgot I had scheduled to start late last PM a 'Buy it Now' auction for same item for $199 .

Well guess who hit the 'Buy It Now' for $199.............yup, the same guy I had sent the second chance offer for $220??

Doh....let me guess.... sounds like you've got a possible neg. FB heading your way.image

  • If it's the 2nd buyer, tell him what happened, and of course honor the lower price. Honest communication goes a long way in keeping the peace.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

I'm guessing the underbidder purchased the lot for $199 and didn't accept your $220 offer?

Just hope he doesn't want two rolls and accept the second chance offer. At that point, you'll be in trouble.

If you can quietly rescind the second chance off, so so, otherwise, hope if he takes that he is understanding image

I believe the OP means he bought the second roll himself....maybe not. Cheers, RickO
  • No feedback problem as it is same guy and I actually have several identical rolls.

Just feeling foolish to have sent him a second chance offer at $220 the same time I had a 'Buy it Now' listing pop up for $200

He wisely hit the Buy it Now................

What year proof lincoln rolls brought $200?

I might have to start breaking all my proof sets up into rolls.
