Get a $15 gift card to eBay for $7 (Today, 3/29, only)

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,389 ✭✭✭✭✭
I know it's not a ton of money, but it'll cover shipping or just make a purchase a few dollars cheaper. This link is the one I got from the eBay homepage (it's not an affiliate link tied to me), but if it doesn't work, check Groupon.com or the eBay home page for a link. You'll probably get an email or two after this, but you can easily unsubscribe.

    Thxs for the heads-up, Jeremy.

After 100s of emails from Groupon, this is my first purchase. A no-brainer!

One can buy as many eBay Groupons as desired while available. Conceivably, one could buy 100 of them for $750 and buy $1500 in value.
Also, contradictory to the fine print indicated on the Groupon, which states that each Groupon must be used for one purchase and cannot be used in combination with other offers (i.e. eBay Bucks); when the promotional code is entered through eBay checkout on an item of value that exceeds the value of the Groupon, since the transaction gets processed through Paypal anyway, the balance remains as a credit with Paypal.

I'm curious. They mention printing it out.

How would you apply the $15 'coupon' to any ebay purchase where you are paying by paypal? Is the $15 'coupon' applicable to ANY ebay purchase? Do all sellers have to accept?

It's probably so simple, I'm confused.

You don't actually have to print the Groupon, unless you want to use it as a reminder of the promotional code on it that gets entered on the eBay checkout page. The eBay checkout info gets carried over to your Paypal account, where the Groupon value gets fully applied to a purchase, and if the item value is less than the $15 Groupon, the Paypal payment will be processed as a $0.00 Paypal payment, and the balance gets credited as a gift certificate, which apparently can be used on a subsequent Paypal transaction at eBay.

    Pass.

My CC info, email address and password and paypal acct and ebay name linked together for another new company that is shopping itself around to be a takeover candidate are worth more than $8. I was born at night but not last night..

This is nothing more than a cash starved company acquiring a little of your cash and your info for doing nada. I liked the way they said...Your CC info 'MAY' be needed. That's not true. They want it.
I hope the few million they pull in helps them meet payroll tomorrow.

To register for Groupon, you can make up any ol' passcode you want. They do require an email address that doesn't have to have any connection to your Groupon passcode. All of the Groupon offers are presented daily by email, and purchases of Groupons require using a credit card account on their secure, encrypted site. I bought a $40 Groupon in January to a very high end Steak House for $20. It's good for 6 months.

I just ordered four $15 gift cards for just $28...I know others who have purchased way more than that. In addition, you get another $10 for each additional Groupon account you "referred" to the promo. You can make up any passcode you want. It doesn't have to be the same as your ebay or paypal passcodes. Ebay itself was promoting this special. Between promos like these and bigcrumbs and ebay bucks, you can rake in quite a bit by just making regular purchases on ebay. Free money is always good!

Got mine today. How come in the "fine print" it states, "may use over multiple visits," but in the "universal fine print" it reads "must use in one visit"?
