can anyone identifier the maker of this 11.369 silver bar

I bought this bar today, because I like old poured bars...does anyone out there have any clue as to what company made this bar, or any history about this bar or its $$$$ besides silver value...thanks again

    Interesting bar. Looks like a refiner with the initials NTS. The NTS looks like each letter was punched with letter punches so it may be a small operation or even home made in someone's garage.

    Based on the toning in the letters and numbers, it looks like an older bar.

    Awful high serial number for a "basement job" bar. I wonder if perhaps "061680" might be a date, June 16, 1980????

    Don't have a clue what NTS stands for. Looks decent for an old poured.

    We did buy in bars like that. If they seemed legit we just discounted them an extra 50 cents an ounce and put them out in the sales case until we did our next silver burn. If somebody bought it we would discount it 50 cents from the brand name bars. If nobody bought it, it died.

    Agree. If I don't recognize the brand, I worry about the quality and composition. In this case, each letter of the NTS appears to be individually punched indicating a home made bar.

    In many cases that is a legitimate concern but I would not hesitate in this case. No additional 'collectible' value but that is good silver.
    Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.
