Toning eye appeal - love it or hate it?

Personally I really like the dark rich type of toning. I know many seem to prefer the really bright wildly toned coins, but those often don't look right to me.

Judging by the pics, I really like the look of that dime. Nice, tough-looking piece with more subtle darker toning.

I'm neutral on the toning but hate the prongs.

While I think I might like the reverse, I do not believe I would like the obverse so I voted that I disliked the toning.

I really like the toning. I am a supporter of toning, as it helps add visual interest to a coin--and not just the bright color flashes that $2000 common date Morgans in lower uncirculated grades exhibit. I also like more subdued warmth and muted tones. I'm not as big a fan, though, of some of the horrific splotches that sometimes affects Peace dollars.
