I Wish I'd have...................................So, what do YOU wish you would have done, but didn

Many of have second guessed a decision we have made. Maybe a purchase we didnt make, or a sale we didnt make. Maybe something we have traded off..and now regret,
Maybe a coin we seen for sale, and had the capital to buy....but didnt.
The past is gone. Seldom do we have the opportunity to reevaluate a past decision and change what we done.
What Numismatic move did you make, or NOT make...which you Now Regret??
Heres mine................
About 3 years ago the discovery piece 1943 copper cent came up for sale. It was in an old PCGS genuine slab, since back in the day it had been scratched across the bust..to see if it WAS copper. And, it WAS. The price was high, I seem to remember the sale was at 50K. I could have done this.....by selling part of the collection, but DIDNT. Regardless of the scratch, I really really regret NOT pulling the trigger. A once in a lifetime opportunity...and not taken.
Whats YOUR regret??

I remember back in 1960 a old collector offered me 6 1955 DD 1955 cents that looked like brand new
for $25 each and I had just got out of the Marines . Needless to say that was a lot of money at that
time and I did not have any so I passed that one up. Oh well!

My regret was buying multiples of U.S Mint junk when I first started collecting in 2004 and not real coins/gold/silver. I HATED to pay $25/roll for Mercury dimes off of ebay, but forced myself to because I liked the design. I've since sold all of the good stuff I bought and kept all the U.S. Mint junk.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

<< <i>My biggest regret was having the best 1885cc Morgan PCGS66 DMPL I have ever seen in my hands, having the money in my pocket, and not pulling the trigger. It later turned out to be the Wayne Miller plate coin (it was unattributed at the time). Still kicking myself!

I actually felt a little sick to my stomach reading that one! WOW!
I just found an update.
I think I got about $75 in trade for that coin, if memory serves. Maybe Cladiator has a clearer memory, as he's the one who unknowingly cherrypicked me. We were both clueless at first and astonished afterward.
Speaking of seller's remorse and cherrypicks, here's another often-told favorite tale of mine, for those of you who are new to the boards and might not have seen it. Don'tcha know that guy would've kicked himself later if he'd gotten a clue. But he was greedy and only ended up cheating himself in the end.

I was working in the same building as MTB, but at the time I was getting tired of the SLQ series,
so I stocked up on the new Silver Eagles instead. What a blunder.
If limiting it to numismatic regrets, the coins I buy tend to be relatively common, though at times hard to find, so I don't have many. I do remember when I first started going to coin shows and I attended one of the club meetings or seminars at the Long Beach show. Some speaker was all excited about the Eliasberg collection coming to auction. I didn't know much, but even then it did seem like a kind of a big deal. Unfortunately, I didn't move on that at all. It was probably a once-in-a-lifetime numismatic opportunity as far as auctions go.
