    Super card!

The deal with the cap is just about on every 52T Mantle I've seen - so I think graders pretty much overlook that.

On the bump - I'm clueless.

In the world of Mantles - that's about as good as it gets.

Not sure, but I think the thing on the cap is on all '52 Topps Mantles.

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

  • Congrats...Very very cool card

I guess I'm late to the party. Great card!!!!!!!!!!! It's a in the top 5 of all time - for collectability/want lists & desirability. And for cards made in the last 60 years, I can't think of a card that would be higher on that list. Congrats!!
  • Spectacular card. Congrats on the pickup!

Not sure where to go from here. Maybe a shrink's office to have my head examined? image

Certainly there are some other cards on my list.......but checking this one off was nice. image

I think I should rephrase my original statement.

Yes the light shadow on the cap is on all 52 Mantle cards. My concern was

the marks to the right of it and what appeared to me as the shadow being stronger than usual.

Perhaps it's the scan, I dunno.

In any event, Ron great P/U and enjoy it.

    Good for you.
