Here he is. Sorry for the big tease, just super excited! I've never owned this card in any grade. Just wanted to share, enjoy, it's the pursuit that matters and this card is a huge reason why all of us love this hobby.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Steve - you identified the only thing I don't like about it. The print is just washed out there (along with some print splotching to the right of the cap). Doesn't bother me as much as say PD on cards with black backgrounds but it's there. Thought about it for awhile but the centering and the corners were so nice I can certainly live with it.

    Smokin. What great centering.

I'd be afraid to send that through the mail.

Interesting that it's the same card prewarcardcollector sold in October for $40,760.

Very nice eye appeal. Congrats on the card. Are those a couple of "nicks" on the top edge to the right of his hat?

  • Wow is right, congrats on a great card. What a jewel. If it makes you feel any better I didn't notice the whole cap thing til it was pointed out on this thread. What I did notice is the absolutely AMAZING centering! What a great card, enjoy it and thanks for sharing.

Ok, a few questions to answer:

It IS the same card Brent sold last fall. I was the runnerup bidder, and a few weeks later he contacted me with a second chance offer. I was thrilled to have another chance at it, as it was the nicest 7 I'd seen. Brent is one of the best in the hobby, I cannot say enough good things about him.

It's a keeper for the collection, for now. I guess if I wanted to acquire an 8 someday I'd move it then, but for now it's what I wanted, a high end 7. Of course, if someone wants to give me $50K for it and try to get it in a 7.5 holder, I'm game.

As for possible bump, I don't know. You have to disqualify me because I'm biased and am going to say I could see it in a 7.5 holder, but I can see the print and the upper left corner holding it back. I will say this though: the centering and the other 3 corners on it present as NM-MT. For now I'm just happy to own a really nice 7.
