Okay to describe an NGC coin as PCGS?

Nobody will notice the difference anyway, right?

Under "Item specifics" it says "Certification: NGC" and he has closed listings for PCGS platinum eagles.

Maybe the guy made a mistake?

Looks like he did a "Sell Similar Item" and forgot to change PCGS to NGC...

Human error---it's been known to happen. It's not a big deal and I doubt there was any intent to deceive anyone.

That happens to me all the time. I will be listing 10-20 coins at a time and they will be the same denominations and dates but different services and I will forget to change the service. It happens.

It would still be the same coin if it was in a PCGS holder wouldn't it?

The seller apparently fixed the error..... Instead of posting the error on this forum why didn't you just bring the error to the seller's attention?! I have done that before and the seller appreciated the help.

Which I did & he immediately corrected it. I agree, it's a waste of time to post it on the forum, just let the seller know that a mistake has been made in his listing. On the other hand, if it's a flagrant violation, well, that's another story.

Yeah, but we need something trivial to post about at least once a day. With the Dan Carr postings
