I think if I was expecting a book published in English, and received this, I would have also left a neg. LOL
Edited to add: Although under "Item specifics" it does say "Language:Spanish" but other than that, I didn't notice any other mention of Spanish and it probably should have been emphasized in the description.
I guess another example of the seller needing to "think things thru" from the buyer's perspective - make the description clear, ship the correct product, package it securely and ship it on time...after all, that is what the buyer is paying their money for.
<< <i>IIRC didn't everyone have their feedback revised just a couple/few short years ago?
They even raised everyone's scores and totals too. (if I recall) >>
Part 1: Back in the not-so-good-old-days, they would automatically convert all feedback left by users who became no longer registered to neutral. These comments were either removed or converted back to positive (even the ones that were originally neutral or negative), I don't remember exactly. All I know is the neutrals that weren't really neutral are no longer neutral.
Part 2: In calculating the % positive, they stopped counting neutrals. So if you had 9 positive, 1 neutral, and 1 negative, your percentage went from 81.8% to 90%. They didn't edit or revise any of the actual feedback.
Never had a negative but did get a neutral a couple years ago. Guy won a card, I shipped the next day and he got it two days later. He leaves me a glowing comment with a neutral. I emailed him and asked him why a neutral. He responded, "Did I do that, oh well. Maybe you should ship a little faster". The guy had an Ebay rating of 12, so I figured "oh well", he'll learn a lot in the coming months. But it still ticked me off.
All I can say is NEVER play the ebay feedback game. The "stars", the feedback manipulation, etc etc. is just a guise to get you off of discovering that the real problem is that ebay is run by a bunch of idiots. I also agree wholeheartedly on the good CS and such. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING you do will satisfy the most disgruntled customer, many times its because they dont know better, many times it is because of how they are. End the end, you give them the best service you can without it costing YOU money and if they are still dissatisfied, they wont come back anyway and if they do, then you can do what you did before.
Dont forget the bottom line...Ebay feedback is a game and it is only played by people who are worried about it. I sell on sportlots, I have 119 positives and 4 neuts, compared to ebay where I had 904 pos, with no neuts and no negs. I have learned that FB is what it is and if someone is unhappy, then they are, but honestly, if I sell 1000 items and one is unhappy, it wont mean anything
