Here are the best of the first pack. I'm afraid the rest went in the rubbish bin.
Here are the highlights of the 2nd pack. Christianson looks pretty good. Condition on others still pretty rough, but thanks for putting this together. Always a thrill.
I didn't get any of the big hits from my two '72 Topps packs. The best players I pulled were Len Dawson, Paul Warfield, and Fred Biletnikoff. The Biletnikoff was miscut, but it was the only card that was. Centering was all over the place with mine - Dawson is almost perfectly centered but has a side ding. Packs appear to be stored properly as the gum came off cleanly and did not bleed through any of the cards.
Ripped the 84's. No big hits. Centering typical for the 84's, all over the place. Gum was intact, cards are rather minty.
Haven't decided what to do with the 72's yet. I have a mint set and might just stick these with it, unopened. Or, I may rip them in hopes of a few upgrades to my set. Decisions, decisions.
<< <i>Got my packs today and the '72 wax I received has Butkus showing through on the gum side of the pack >>
Uggggggg....tough luck! If you open it, and it isn't too bad, I will pay 10% above VCP average for what I think it will grade according to a scan if you are interested in selling it.
I am guessing no one has pulled the PSA 9 Stauhbach yet?
If anyone ripping the 72's want to recoup a little bit of the cost, I'm looking for well centered commons. I'll pay $1.50 a pop, which is about $5 less than what they would sell for in PSA 8. Save the grading fees and sell them to me. I'm also interested in the stars and RC's and will pay PSA 8 prices for nice cards.
72 with OJ on the front stays sealed and in my pack display
Thanks leathtech for putting together this rip. BTW - the 72 and 74 pack were in great shape. Tight seals, loose and unbroken gum - just very well taken care of and nice.

Collecting Topps, Philadelphia and Kellogg's from 1964-1989
Sorry to everyone, I've been busy assisting with Toys for Tots the last week. I just paid $8ow.ww+ to Baseball Card Exchange and unfortunately have to wait until after the New Year.
I opened two of the three '84 cellos I purchased. The third was the nicest condition pack and will go to my unopened collection. Here are the highlights from the packs I opened. Centering was pretty good overall.
The Marino looks like a 9 candidate. The only drawback is the slight tilt, though it looks centered well enough to meet the 9 criteria.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Ripped my packs. Didn't pull the monster, and centering wasn't great. Here are my top three. The Csonka is nice, but had the gum on it, will try to get that off. The Tarkenten has a dinged lower left corner. Otherwise, no other star power. Best of luck to everyone else. Was a lot of fun regardless. Let me know if you need any of these cards listed below (most of them are O/C). I was under the impression that there were 12 cards/pack. Only 10 cards/pack

No, but if I do, I've been offered $50 Paypal gift from Tommy. I guess he doesn't wipe his a$$ with 72 Staubachs.
Pack 2 has Jackie Slater on front and Booker Moore on back. (cmon Marino

I offered $50 for that? I must have been on medication, I meant $40.
