What are You LEAST Thankful For in Numismatics?
T-Day minus one here in Chicago.
I am least thankful for dealer spam email which advertises coins of no interest at an astonishingly high rate.

Seriously I don't know why people even punish themselves by even looking at fleaBay.

<< <i>Why do so many people whine about e-bay in this forum?! I've collected coins for 40 years and I have not had any trouble with sellers on e-bay. No one twists your arm to pay any price you don't want to pay!!! I think e-bay offers collectors access to coins previously unattainable! As brick and mortar stores disappear, electronic access to inventories will be all that's left! If you get "taken" on e-bay chances are you would get "taken" by a dealer in person!!! Just MHO.... >>
eBay is rampant with fraud, scams, fakes, overgrading, distortion, doctored photos, meaningless descriptions and return policies, misrepresentation and outright lies. No matter how cautious and informed a buyer may be, it is nearly impossible to avoid being ripped off eventually. Best wishes for continued good luck and success.

<< <i>The ripoff artists who try and take advantage of collectores. >>
That's bad, but worse are those who rip off non-collectors--the charlatons who use the reputation of coins as collectibles to scam people out there who are most vulnerable. We as collectors can arm ourselves with knowledge. The frail, elderly looking to leave their grandchildren a legacy might not have the same access to information.

Yes, he has been a little bit scarce lately. The Man must be in beatdown mode, or something.

Had to settle for talking parents into buying them. After they found out I knew what I was talking about, they did and sold them for huge profits a few years later.
