I don't want to drag us off track here but is the 09 S VDB be considered a counterfeit, or an altered date? Or is the whole coin a fake? Pretty sure based on what was said that just the S was added.

it's a real coin, the date isn't altered it's considered "Added mint mark".

The 1923 SLQ and 1908 Barber Dimes are lead counterfeits. The 1849 Small date Half Cent is some sort of cast counterfeit, there is a seam along the edge. That one doesn't belong to me, I was able to image it when I borrowed it from the owner of a B&M I frequent. I have a few others I haven't imaged, a 1936 Quarter, lead 1884 Liberty Nickel, 1897 Quarter, 1901 Quarter, and a 1872 Canadian Quarter.

1944 "NO P" counterfeit nickel. The "flagpole" on the right side of the dome on the reverse is a diagnostic feature.
