Numismatic value. I was born in '52, so not a great year....probably the '52 superbird cameo quarter for that year. I don't own one, but if someone does, I'd love to see a pic....

It is a scarce year....with super nice examples difficult to locate. As a kid....one day at the penny candy store next to school, got two in change. Turned out..there was a whole blooming roll of them in the register, not MS but circulated.... and I got mostly all of them through begging Mr. Scheider. (still have them)
Wish I had one to show you...

Same for me unless there is a rare Ike that might be worth more...I don't know a lot about the different type and which years they are found on

I am in the same boat. No desire for a birth year set.
We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
and for billy 1984 had a nice DDO for both 84 an 84D

it's the b.y.-100 that's fun to collect! 1853 keeps me busy.
1948 Philly mint quarter in PCGS MS68 $17,500.
1948-S 25¢ also PCGS MS68, also PCGS price guide at $17,500
I suppose there's some room for discussion with the Franklin crowd.
The 48-P fbl Frankie has a guide price of $15,000.

No chance one of those will be gracing my '48 Mint Set any time soon.
Currently I'm hunting down a MS66 48-P cent. That's about the max I'll spend for a coin for this set.
