    I don't know if needs a "C" mint mark (and I don't mean Charlotte) but it needs to have "COPY" stamped on the obverse or reverse. Yea, it's a replica because it's got bumps and holes all over it. Aside from the silver it might contain it's a piece of junk.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Why counterfeit a low grade '23.
    I would at least have tried a high grade '21, '28-S or '34-S

    Unless it is not made of solid silver. You could make $20 off of one dollars worth of metal. We might see more of this as silver rises in value.
    Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.
