Liberty Coins from Connecticut

Is anybody familiar with a coin telemarketing company named "Liberty Coins" that's based in Connecticut with a 203 area code? Are they affiliated with any other dealer? Are they a small or large telemarketing outfit? Who owns them?

A few minutes ago I received a cold call from them trying to sell me some G$2 1/2 and GG$ 5 Indians. When I asked them about the grade and service, the guy on the line blanked out. Then his "supervisor" offered me the explaination that "we have an in-house grader who's the best grader in the biz". Of course I almost broke out in laughter.

If anything if I were the one running this company I'd kick some butt for not knowing what coin "grades" meant. So who runs this jalopy of a telemarketing company?

    I get an average of 1 call a month from telemarketers. After 30 seconds, I tell them that there list needs to be cleaned up and the coin dealers removed.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

    I either hang up on telemarketers, or am so rude to them, that they don't ever call back. I don't care who they are or what they are selling. I don't want it.

    If you have never heard of them, it is likely they are an entity you should stay away from. I know it was not necessary to tell you that, just supporting your decision. Cheers, RickO
