Happening at my house. My 5th grade son is depressed that his summer golf vacation is about over and in the mornings he will be going to school instead of the country club. My daughter is estactic that she is going to 1st grade in 4 days and counting. Back to school shopping, last minute summer plans we need to complete, all the rest of it. --Jerry

compared to a few years ago this place did seem more active but i doubt we can use that as a measure of interest in the hobby.
after a while, for me, typing the same things over and over get old.
also the coins I enjoy the most simply cost too much money. After spending more then a 1000 bucks on a couple single coins I realized that was just not practical for me. I unloaded basically everything except some low ball coins that are neat due to being original but I have no interest in actively seeking them out. I just buy them when I happen to stumble upon them.
All hobbies go in cycles and in other hobby areas they are seeing a slow down also from the boom years of recent past. the economy did not help either.
I wish I could post about going back to school. I was fortunate and got to return to school at the ripe ol' age of 37, in 1990. Finished up the last time in '99/'00. If I got to go back, it would mean a lot more time in, on, and under the water. I sure miss it all.
...and you don't want to hear about my recent Walker upgrades, none of 'em are here yet.

Haven't had much to say!! We did a 3 week vacation (5,082 mile road trip) up to Canada from So. Calif. I took 2 rolls of the NP "Yellowstone" quarters with us and gave them out to a lot of the "little kids", it was a lot of fun doing that!!
I HAD to cut back. Being self employed...the computer in the office was taking far to much of my shop time, and something had to give. So, now.....Ive disconnected the internet and use it just as a "radio" with all the limewire tunes that are already on it. From now on, a casual post with the iPhone, or maybe something a little more involved with a picture post from the computer here at home.
Funny how the computer has came to dominate our lives. HOW did we ever live without these things????? Well, Im trying to find a way to live without one for at least 12 hours a day. So far, this has worked out really well. Dramatically increased my business output, time seems to flow a lot more evenly now that I dont run into the shop every 17 minutes to check up on the "net" and what I do on it.
anyway, the interest in the COINS has not subsided....only the degree of attachment to the computer.
School for some. Lots of post Boston ANA work for others. And still others are beginning to see some interesting signs of life returning to the market - keeping them busy.
Don't blame me. I'm in Alaska right now and this is the first time since this morning I've even looked at this forum.

A lot of good points have been made but very few ever got addressed and when that happens in a habitual manner, people simply leave. There's really no reason for them to stay. People can talk to a wall for only so long.

I have been really busy with a pet project of mine and simply have not had time to get on the forums, at least not enough time to hang out in the US section. I have kept up better in the currency section though.
