On the two pending motions discussed at length before.

How many of you think that the motions will remain undecided for a year or more?

We only have to wait until 12-16-2010 for the one year anniversary of the two motions being fully briefed and submitted to the court for decision.

Something must be going on behind the scenes ... but who knows what?

Maybe the goverment figures it can just wait the Langbord case out until they get tired and decide to settle or give up on it.

So much for the constitutional guarantee of "a fair and speedy trial."

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

That doesn't apply to civil courts, only criminal ones.

However, this case is a perfect example of how civil courts have grown into monstrosities that need to be culled.

This case is strung out worse than one of those meth-only-once ad campaigns.

Gov is definitely trying to grind the case out it seems, which is unfortunate. This should be a 1 year tops legal procedure to me.

Being unfamiliar with the workings of the legal machinery, my trusting nature says that there must be continuous dialogue behind the scenes and extensive research being performed. I hope that is true. If not, then the only alternative is chicanery. Cheers, RickO

Try doing anything in China with the tax authorities or the regulatory authorities. I have transactions that are going on two years that are not finalized yet. And these don't even involve controversies.

Having been through a divorce that took several years to complete I tell you the hold-up is that at least one party is not willing to work things out. Otherwise, the most impossible problems could be resolved in a few hours if not minutes. When you have such a situation, dirty pool is going on. There is no "research" or dialog, that's just naive.

    Edited for a typo.
