Hey gang, Awhile back I posted a thread looking for an Ebay consignor, and thanks to ChrisRX, I found Carl.
I just want to say this. So far I am so impressed with the 110% professionalism and down to earthness this guy has displayed. Before you go and think I sent him all my keydates and high dollar coins, no, I sent him my riff raff, I sold all the SVDB's 14-D's, etc etc to my own clientelle. Carl has taken my lowball coins and has treated me like every coin is a million dollars. We are just getting started, but I will state to the board that this is now my full time coin guy to liquidate my coin holdings.
Fair rates and top notch service, excellent pics, communication is amazing. His fees are so very reasonable and just a top notch person. The coin world needs more like him. I have never met him in person, but feel totally comfortable and he is treating me like I am an Eliasberg.....
Way to go Carl !!!!! You are going to sell more Lincolns in the coming months than you have sold in the last few years :-) We are just gettting started my friend.

I am not leaving at all !!!! I just had so much inventory it was overwhelming. I quit Ebay for personal reasons ( with powerseller status and 100% feedback) so I needed a help retailing my coins.
I am returning as a collector only.
Being a coindealer wannabe taught me so much. I had a great 3-4 year run, but I prefer to collect and make hotsauce and play poker with my time. Day job rocks, so.......I'm still here, but only on the collector side of things now. Thanks for the thoughts tho Tom !!

I don't understand this. Are you saying you don't like it that he's accurately describing a coin he thinks is a dog?
And do you know he's putting the "dogs" in his inventory and not wholesaling them?

What you have to understand is that a dealer may only have 4x8 feet of display space at a show. If they have five of the same date and mint coins the lower three of them may not even be shown.
The coins that don't get seen soon become riff raff as they are not moving. Nothing about the coin is wrong to the right collector they just may never be seen by any collectors.
That’s when consigning to someone for eBay sales comes into play to reduce inventory.
Oh and BTW Carl always has good descriptions and excellent service I think I bought about ten coins from him last year. I sold those same coins this year though.
Lots under $100 or so, I sold all my bigguns already. I in NO WAY mean to discount the quality. Here on these forums, with all the heavy hitters, my gems are others riff raff. There is no " Dreck " in what I sent Carl, sorry to cause the confusion
