It Was Tempting For Sure...

To bid on this.

I like this one better; thick, rich brilliant toning that looks like you could scrape it off with a putty knife.

Didn't really feel very good.

<< <i>That extra patch of green is lovely on the '85 alright... and the colors are deeper all the way around. >>
And the slab looks like a reholder candidate or at the least a polish job.
<< <i>Since I chimed in on this thread I guess I should admit that I find those coins very attractive. --Jerry >>
Agreed and the first one didn't sell.

<< <i>And to think, I used to pass on the "Reverse-Only" toners.
Well, there is a 50:50 chance it will tone on either side. Why pass on a nice coin just because the toning chose the "wrong" side. Some toning actually looks better on the reverse.
<< <i>"...thick, rich brilliant toning that looks like you could scrape it off with a putty knife." And the 'tarnish' may well have been applied that way....
I have my fair share of blast white coins and after awhile it do get kind of tegious tryin to look thru several boxes of the things. Why would anyone take an attractive premium priced coin and dip it maybe into a blast white common date, even commoner grade widget, that you can already buy by the pickup truckful? If you dipped either of those toners, you'd be lucky to get em back as 64s if they'd even grade at all.
<< <i>Is the '85 P yours? It's stunning! >>
Yes it is Gayla. Thanks for the compliment.
