I like this one better; thick, rich brilliant toning that looks like you could scrape it off with a putty knife.

    That extra patch of green is lovely on the '85 alright... and the colors are deeper all the way around.

    Well, there is a 50:50 chance it will tone on either side. Why pass on a nice coin just because the toning chose the "wrong" side. Some toning actually looks better on the reverse.

    I have my fair share of blast white coins and after awhile it do get kind of tegious tryin to look thru several boxes of the things. Why would anyone take an attractive premium priced coin and dip it maybe into a blast white common date, even commoner grade widget, that you can already buy by the pickup truckful? If you dipped either of those toners, you'd be lucky to get em back as 64s if they'd even grade at all.

    Here is one coin that looks better toned on the reverse instead of the obverse. It could easily be a great depiction of the mythological Phoenix rising from the ashes. The same toning on the obverse would be kind of blah IMO.
