eBay Return policy

Hi all,
Question:
I sell a lot on the bay and had a sale over 90 days ago. I gladly accept returns and, in fact, pay for the returning postage if they are not satisfied - without any inquiry or questions.
The item was a pcgs graded 69 1 oz gold eagle, so not too much premium over spot.
He got it and wanted to return it for an undisclosed reason. I said: no problem. I will be happy for the return postage cost, as well.
It never showed up.
30 days later, he said what address do I send it to? I gave him the info. Never showed up. A month later, he asked for the address again. I gave it to him - again. Never showed up. Last week he asked how long after I receive it will he get his refund. I replied: Immediately. Still not here.
Question is, is he hedging in case spot were to fall he would invoke his return.
Actually, gold has risen substantially and I would come out ahead if he returned it. It is a kind of a weird situation. Has this happened to anybody else?

No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Tell the buyer to sell it to a coin shop, 30 days is way excessive and beyond that is absurd in my view.
<< <i>30 days later... >>
At this point, I would have told him that it was too late for a return. Since you've still offered the option, you should give him a deadline now, and stick to it.

<< <i>no way allow any return on bullion period. On coins when I sell them I offer a 10 day return for any reason.

I do not offer a return option on any bullion product & that includes the bullion version of the AGE & ASE
Then before he ships it gold goes up?
I try to avoid selling bullion priced items on ebay just for that reason. I, or another dealer, probably would have paid you what you got on ebay after fees anyway (unless bing injected 8% into the transaction).
I've had a few buyers try to return items when the perceived price had gone down. I tell them, "I guarantee my coins are as described and will accept returns if you aren't happy. However, I do not guarantee that the price won't go down."
I would tell him that the return time has passed but he has one more week. If it isn't in the mail by Tuesday, the return period is over. Otherwise, he may eventually send it back if gold dips below the price he paid.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
