    OPTION 1:
I'd put 48 of those Indian Head Cents into a roll and put two Mint State Indian Head Cents on the ends and sell it as an "unsearched", uncirculated roll on eBay.
and since there's 190 of them I could make almost 4 rolls.
4 "unsearched" IHC rolls would fetch me at least $200.00

    image

    OPTION 2:
I would send them to PCGS for "SECURE PLUS +" Certification. At least one has to get a plus image

    image

    OPTION 3:
    Sell them for melt value.

    image

    OPTION 4:
Hold a Coin Funeral in my Backyard. Maybe test my metal detecting skills later.

    OPTION 5:
I would lay them on my bed and sing them...

    image

    However,

if I did win. I would put them into tubes and appreciate them for the rest of my numismatic life. image

    image

I'm 16, so count me in for the contest. Thanks image

Very cool giveaway. I would like to enter on behalf of my nephew Adam, age ten.

(Edited 'cause I typed "cousin" when I meant "nephew".)

Thanks for the chance. If I (he) wins them, I will find him a Whitman folder for him to stick 'em in.

Very nice gesture.... image we all need to help spark interest in your hobby. I love the look on a kids face when I give him/her a buffalo nickel. 95% of them have never seen one, let alone have one of their own. It's a great feeling

I will throw my little boy into the running since he is the reason I dug out my old collection and started collecting again. These coins would be a big boost to his collection. So far he only has a 2009 proof set (for the year he was born). Since he is young please take him out of the running if a little boy that can enjoy them right now posts. Here is a photo of my little guy:

Smitty can run the contest anyway he wants....but it seems awkward for some of you to be entering this generous contest "on behalf" of relatives. Lets hear from some under 16's who actually post here! We ALL have a relative under 16...I doubt that was Smitty's intention.

I agree with that. That is why my post states to take my son out of the running if someone that can enjoy the coins right now posts a message. Someone here must have a little boy or girl that likes coins and is old enough to post their own message.

My five year old daughter loves money in all its forms and pretty much appropriates my collection for herself - yep - she would love them and I can guarantee that she would never spend them since she is a tightwad Hetty Green type.

"Must be 16 and under to enter."

This is a fake giveaway; we scared away the last of the YNs about a year or two ago. Even little Jeremy has graduated from college and has a job now.

I have three daughters so three YNs!

My youngest I can use these to teach her how to count, she can count to 28 right now, maybe I can teach her to count to 190 and anytime there are pennies on the street, she picks them up. The oldest can take them to school and show them off, we just moved so perhaps coins can help them gain new friends.

    Thank you for the chance.

despite no discernable difference in writing, here is my kid ::

I would like the indian cents because I have only seen a couple of my dad's in real life and I would like to have some for myself. I don't have any really old coins, so I would like to add on to my collection of coins with these. I also would like them because they're hard to find in rolls. Since I have seen a couple in real life, I know what they look like and I think they look cool. I collect all kinds of coins, so I definitely would like them.

    Straight from my boys:

    << <i>Hi. My name is Jeff, I’m 13, and I’m Dylan, Jeff’s brother, and I’m 11.

We are entering this contest because we are both coin collectors, along with our father. Our dad started coin collecting again last summer, after Grandpa died of cancer (he had cancer for 7 weeks before he died). Our grandpa was also a coin collector. We have all grown on the hobby of coin collecting, following our grandpa’s hobby. We would keep the coins as ‘treasures’, valuables, and possibly pass them down as heirlooms to our children like Grandpa did to us.

    Thank you!

Good morning mister and missus Smittys,

Alden is 4 years old now, and her brother is 20 months.. both kids like coins, Alden is particularly fond of daddy's shiny half dollar book

If their dad had that pile of Indian cents to work with, he'd bury any corroded culls in small shallow groups out in the yard a few with exciting treasure maps, and use the better ones to salt the coffee-can change pile for searching, early money counting, date reading, and penny folder filling.

Some would also be spent and deposited to the bank among rolls, to further seed young (and older) numismatists "out there" image

This was sent to me in an email and
chosen as the best by my wife:
Hi Smitty, my father "George" told me to write you about your contest and boy is it a great one..

Well, I started collecting coins about 7 years ago, and Indian Head cents are the bomb. I love them very much..

I noticed my father always picking up some old coins at flea markets while in our area, or out of state while on vacation, he has taught me the history and why I should try to make this hobby part of my life.. The foremost reason is keeping my reading skills up and this makes the brain fresh with a ton of time in no way wasted... Education is very important to me..

I was a kid that didn't like toys, but I did love my play station, and always save my money for things that would pay me back somewhat in the future and so far coins have done just that..

As I tagged along with my dad, I always asked him about this coin and that coin and yes as he still does today, he tells me to look up the history about it,  I have learned much about coins this way.. It seems I tend to sway away from my dad at Coin Shows these days to find that special coin my father collection or also collect the kind of coins I have learn that will hold some type of value if I ever need to sell them for something special that I might need in the future, I am 15 1/2 and will get my drivers license in two weeks, learners permit that is..

My father told me you are a very nice guy and since he was canned for speaking to the President of PCGS about some idiots that have no place in coins or the boards, well there is collecting after forums, so he told me to write you in hopes I will get entered..

Tough last two weeks of my life, first someone broke into our Shed and stole my 2008 110cc Dirt bike and secondly I didn't make Master Sergeant in My Jrotc class that I worked so hard for and will need to work harder to achieve this honor early next year... Thanks for the chance.. Drew Graham..  Shown in Pic.. Son of George Graham aka Yaha.
    *Thank You* *God Bless*
