Granted , not all collectors care about or even want plastic, but if I was selling this coin, I would want it in plastic to assure buyers.

I hate when sellers use different font sizes and all the colors. Makes it seem like a circus sideshow and I run, run, run away.

Well it looks ok to me, considering the N is weak on the reverse...but I agree it would bring more certified.

The reverse looks cleaned to me.
  • Perfect example of a coin that probably was slabbed genuine for being recolored or cleaned.

A quick glance and I agree with the Genuine comments.
That would be the reason it isn't in plastic. Looks authentic but not problem free

I'm tempted to say that this might be a die-struck counterfeit. The fields look too smooth for a circulated coin.

the seller, an optometrist who goes by the ebay handle "lens-doc" and almost always has "too good to be true" raw coins for sale, is widely suspected of being another kind of doctor. caveat emptor.

Raw, expensive coins on e-bay. Some people just don't get it. If you want a doctored or fake coin, you can save lots of money by getting one from China.

These days, when a coin like this is sold raw, there is a reason; and reason is not good for the buyer. In a word, PASS.
