Here is a CAC approved coin in a Secure plus holder with out the plus

Translation, a coin that has been entered into the Secure scaning system that both companies feel is solid for the grade but not close to the next. Correct?

Green label
CAC plus a plus
Here is the description: 1908 $2.50 PCGS MS65+ | Double PQ! When I first bought this premium example I thought it would slip into a 66 holder and be worth 10-12K. Well it's unanimous, everyone loves this coin. Secure Plus, CAC and me. Really Gem! Nice as a 65 can be and nice as 66 $6,500.00

Hoard the keys.
<< <i>So will it be a CAC+ sticker now?
No
“We don’t want buyers and sellers to get the impression that by stickering a coin, CAC is confirming someone else’s ‘PQ’ designation,” Albanese said.

please tell me how a coin in an OGH can be considered "SecurePlus".........................sounds like marketing BS to me.

"the PCGS Secure Plus system digitally captures the unique "fingerprint" of each coin, and enters it into a permanent data base"
Confusing? Very possibly, especially when you read some of the comments here.

1) Learn how to grade coin(s) that interest you. If you need help, don't be shy in getting a second set of eyes to give you an opinion on such coin.
2) Have a ballpark idea of what the coin is worth. Very few coins have your name on it. Unless you're a TDN or Stewart Blay, chances are you'll see another one soon enough if you have doubts about the coin you're viewing at the moment.
3) If you like the coin & the price, buy it. If not, don't.
4) It's really that simple. If someone expects me to buy a coin just because it is in a specific holder, approved by specific people, he / she should try selling it to someone else, because I'm not interested.

<< <i>There are a few voices of informed reason here... TomB, Elcontador, Keets...... I would say it comes from carefully listening to the presentation of the secure plus system, reading the lengthy Q&A thread by Don Willis and having the intellect to comprehend what was delivered. I imagine it will take a month or so for the rest of the 'sewing circle gossips' to finally understand what has been done. Until then, we will have to endure the confused babble of those who would rather hypothesize, criticize construct ridiculous 'what if' scenarios. Ah well, carry on... soon all will be avidly seeking the designation and we will just endure the endless lamentations of those inept graders who do not get what they see as their 'just' grade. Cheers, RickO >>
