I had the same thought. The specs for that coin should be the same as our current nickel. The green crud may have had something to do with it being rejected.

Very nice find. I finally figured out why I never find anything in the coinstar reject slot. While standing in the check out line, I saw two store employees pass by... and both slowed and checked the reject bin. Mystery solved. Cheers, RickO
