<< <i>Are they all "backordered" or does that mean they have sold out. Appears to me to still be short of 25,000 orders so I doubt they are sold out yet. >>
Mine was in process/ backordered for 4/7, now it's 4/8. Order went through at 1:44pm, so who knows..?
If anyone wants to get around the 100 limit - go to the boy scout website and order from there. I wonder what they would do if you went there and placed an order for 100!
<< <i>i can't recall a military like salute...two finger straight up to represent a ''wolf.'' Is it me or all the beers since? >>
Correct, the Cub Scout salute is with two fingers. Two fingers were originally selected to represent the "Ears" of Akela the Wolf while the Boy Scout salute is with three fingers to represent the the 3 points of the Scout Oath.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Wouldn't this make them 'error' coins. Did the BOA have no say of approval?
In stock and reserved - Cancel boxes gone. This is the fastest turnaround that I have ever seen. Its a good sign of things to come. The Mint and distribution center finally have their act together...

If you are refering to the right hand raised to the cap (military like salute?), this is a legitimate salute. It is performed during Flag Ceremonies. The other form you may be refering to is used for reciting the Cub Scout Promise or the Boy Scout Oath or Law and yes the BSA had a say in this. The figures depicted are correct. Controversial, but correct.

I'm a bit apprehensive about a sellout at this point in time since the US Mints website bottle neck cleared within an hour and a half on release day. I can recall days where that bottleneck lasted much, much longer.

I've yet to see a complete mintage on anything from initial release day. Usually, available stocks go quickly while additional orders (not exceeding the maximums) get back ordered for later mintage runs.
If the notifications go to "waiting list" mode, it'll be a different story.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
I kinda agree maybe a few days sellout is too soon but thousands of orders were made on first day and 100 limit per won't take much to reach mintage plus they may old back say 50,000 or so for sets?
In case you (we) havent figured it out yet. The mint is doing small batches to make it look as if they are sold out. The final mintage numbers are determined by the original congressional limits, and secondly, by the market. Since they've decided not to flood the markets with too many coins, (like the GW dollar in what was it 88?) this keeps their profit margins high and collectors happy.
I would like to see lower limits on mintage in general.

the website and order page will increment one day at a time with a future ship date until they go to "in stock and reserved". Once it hits in stock, it's only a few days from shipping, despite whatever far out date was shown the day before.

just FYI... not crying since I'd think it reasonable if they shipped later today or tomorrow and it'd still be close enough to FIFO

Truck? Plane?
Before Pitney Bowes Gov't Sol., whoever was running it used to ship out of Memphis.
I haven't found an article mentioning which specific mint made these.

The Hi-Res image on the mint site shows a "P"..........
not exactly a perfect FIFO, but better than in the past.
and, yeah, the "P" mint mark can be seen in the mint's photos
