Spot review question
How does it work?
Is it like a submission needing to be 5 or more?
I have never used the service and am lost!

Pat, drop me a PM on what you find out beyond this thread if you could
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

Is there a charge?
<< <i>?? Send Spot to them. Make sure he has enough food and water. They will review (look at) Spot, and return him. You pay postage both ways. (drwstr123 has a photo of Spot as his icon.) >>
No spots on me. Smile when you say that, Pilgrim...
What are you hoping to come from the spot review? A grade bump? Color change? Attribution? You may get better advice with a specific question.
Lance.
maybe they have spot be gone. ???
Also, the spot is unlikely to disappear without a trace. That may leave you unhappy.
Why not just look for another '39-S?

The name is LEE!
maybe the coin should not be in a PGCS holder and PCGS may want the same thing.
Its is what is best overall.
It should be PCGS's call IMHO
Isn't that the right thing to do?

I don't disagree. I don't like verdigris and I usually do something about it. PCGS has been good about it.
I was just figuring with the costs involved (shipping both ways) and the "iffyness" -- will they do something about it, will you like it, will they send you the coin and a $20 check, will they return it and say "looks okay for 66RD" -- that maybe it was better to replace it.
I once sent in an early Lincoln graded 63RD that was clearly RB (more BN than RD). It came back with a hand written note from the grader saying "looks RD enough for a 63". You just never know...

Heavens only knows I have made many errors, what is one more or less.
