My Entire Collection For Sale as a Lot ***Price drop so I dont have to sell on ebay***

Due to my new and intense interest in T206 cards, I have decided to get rid of everything else. Below you will find the typical collection of a kid from the late 80's/early 90's. Its all in there. Most cards are raw, but there are a few graded. The raw cards are all NM/MT unless noted. The 1st member who PMs me saying SOLD gets the whole lot for $700 delivered. I have no idea what VCP says, or other price guides, but Im positive you could not get every card below off ebay for even close to $700. Price is firm and USPS MO only. Thanks.

Thanks for critisizing my listing. Made me go back and see that I forgot to include the 1991 Donruss Elite complete 8 card subset. Between that set and the graded cards, we have about $500 worth (wholesale) of cards. When you start to factor in the $50 for the Rice, $20 for the Griffey, $20 for the pair of Ripken errors, $15 each for the Barry and Aikman cards, and another 30 or so cards worth at least $3 each, its clear this is a good deal.

    +1

    just keep them
  • gecko109 = just an observation from my recent board transactions and something you should keep in mind.
1- The number of "collectors" of that type of modern are way down
2- the number of "dealers" or board members that are looking to buy lots for resale are way up
3- You will struggle to find someone who wants to buy your collection or many collections to hold and enjoy it
4- The economy has changed how people are now viewing buying - they used to think to keep, and now they think to resell

I have had VERY successful transactions on here. Just days ago I sold a lot of (38) 1989 Griffey Donruss Rookies #3, all were PSA10. The "Book Value in SMR" saif $45 each. So you would have asked for $1500? I started under $700 and didnt get any nibbles until $500. That is because it is "realistic". The normal selling price on Ebay is about $19each. Someone wanted to flip them and make $5 on each one. I was not interested in dealing with elling them on Ebay, so i took the deal. It is what it is...

Currently collecting all sports HOF Rookie Cards graded by PSA...for my sons Jayce & Luke.

    Successful dealings with: ChiSoxCardboard,

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm honestly trying to help...

Considering you didn't get any bites at $700 and people suggested a more reasonable price was about 1/2 less, do you honestly think you'll generate an interest knocking $50 off?

IMO, if you sell the lot individually on eBay, you'll net +/- $300. I could be totally off and for your sake, hope I am.

I'll "net" over $300 on just the graded cards alone. And thats assuming they get low end prices such as $120 on the Bird RC, $60 on the Jordan RC sticker, etc. I will EASILY net another $100 for the 8 card Elite set. Thats an easy $400 just in those 15 or so cards. There are a few $25+ cards in the lot as well, as numerous $10+ cards. It will be a bit more work for me, but I can guarantee the total "net" will be over $700 if sold seperately on feebay.

1983 Montana .25 negative money if sold on ebay
1984 Marino RC (PSA 5 at best) 7.00 might be high for a vg-ex but who knows could be 100.00 on ebay
1985 Marino .50 negative money if sold on ebay
1986 Rice RC (Blazer!) 16.00 My bad its a 35.00 card but on a good day 4 grand in a 10!!!

1993 Finest Jordan 2.00 Sorry last one sold for 1.35 after fees you got a buck

Sorry if my prices are wrong its not as easy to do raw without seeing them.

About 580.00(ok Ill just say $20,000.00) somehow for this group before ebay fees and time. Got to give it to you though you were right "Im positive you could not get every card below off ebay for even close to $700." if you listed them in 49 different ebay auctions and charged 3.00 for sh it would come out to the person buying all of them for 727.00 if they sold with a charge of 3.00 for sh and if you still charged them 3.00 for each card and not a group sh rate. But I think most of those that did sell had free sh. So who knows.
    Hope this helps

Don't worry gecko. I've done it too. You're not the first nor will be the last to overprice a package deal on these boards. I think after you sell this group individually you'll see why this thread is now at 25 and continuing. You should thank handyman for the reality check.

Simply put, if it were such a good deal it would have sold on Tuesday.

Eww your right, Didnt want to look up that one. Like you said I started to loose interest when I got to that part of the group. Its about 7-10
Good luck with your listings hope you get the 700

"Nice try"? So your saying I almost stole it from you for 580.00 my bad

    1993 Finest Jordan I said 2.00 opps I mean 1.35
And Im happy you found 3 cards that I was off about 20-30.00 thats good for you right.

After you get all those great prices dont forget to pay paypal and ebay and the 4 hours it takes to make the auctions and sh them. Good luck

But dont be so mad I did say you were right one person cant buy all of these off ebay for near 700.00
    Get er done
You should use this time listing them and make that dollar

Also it sucks I look like an idiot saying your 1989 Sanders is only worth 9.00 every raw card is different and SH prices do come into affect when selling on ebay. I dont know how much you charge for SH it could be free or you may charge TOP DOLLAR something like $20.84567 round it up to $20.85
  • eBay and Paypal will cost you roughly 20%, never mind the time it'll cost you...to post them and mail them.....

  • << <i>eBay and Paypal will cost you roughly 20%, never mind the time it'll cost you...to post them and mail them..... >>

Apparently you dont sell on ebay very often. After listing, FVF, and paypal's 3% cut, I "net" 92% of the sales price. Ask anyone who sells on ebay, and you will see that your "20% statement" is pure doggy poopoo. Why do you guys like to exagerrate so much? One guy tells me im lucky to get $300 on this lot, another guy tells me that Billy Ripken FF and black scribble errors sell for $1.50, and a third guy claims that ebay/paypal fees are 20%? Maybe you should just put prices on each one and see if any sell. Might work. I think everyone here says its not 700.00 so what are you going to do? Argue until you get it or List it on ebay. Then do it.

I see frustration. Perhaps best to go to ebay. Maybe you'll get the last laugh. If I had to choose one of your choices it would be complain and argue. But that may just be the diet cola talking.
