Update 2-5 Got Grades

Had pretty good luck in the past but this is my first submission in a while. Just wanted to run it past some board members in case you see something obvious that I missed. Thanks

2-5 Update. I ended up just submitting 16 of the 19 due to your suggestions. And 16/16 graded. I sent out 4 subs and have been getting them back in record speed due to the new shipping policy. Only bone I have with PCGS is on my indians. They need to establish a middle ground with respect to coins with some color. Seems like they went from far left to far right when it comes to color. I am quite sure they are original and not someone's experiment. Disappointed with my 2 silver washington quarters ( I thought 65s easy) The 2007 dime was graded becasue of die cracks that pretty much break it half. The Barber dime is heavily clashed. I owe my wife money on the large cent. It was the only one I thought would bag. Color looked off to me but my wife disagreed.

    I think the 1819 in the upper right corner might get bagged for cleaning.

    Very nice selection. They should all do fine. The only ones, if I was forced to find coins that may have issues, would be the fourth coin from the left in row 2 (1832) and the third coin from the left in the fourth row (1829). The reverses look similar to a few that I have seen marked as "altered surfaces."

    Nice coins ... you have a good eye for quality circulated pieces.

    I have seen worse get slabbed by PCGS, so I'll guess they all get slabbed.

    You could always avoid the risk and sell them to a forum member. image

    I did dip 2 in acetone to remove some green pvc (the 19 and 32). I am 50/50 on the 19 as well but like the coin and need the overton. The coin is actually much darker than the photo shows but it was directly under the light. I agree on the 29 (looks like secondary toning - but no cleaning marks underneath). The 32 is actually on of my favorites of the bunch.

    I have concerns with the '12, '19, and '33 (and perhaps the '18). The rest look good to my eye.

    looks good to me.

    I predict 18 with grade.

    One will somehow find its way into the 'genuine' slab.

    Thanks for the replys/advice. I added some better (hopefully anyway) of the ones pointed out as potential problems. I am leaning towards dropping three of them (hey grading fees aren't cheap) Maybe shoot for a sweet 16

    Man, that is a nice looking group! I don't have anything to add otherwise, except to say that I like them better out of plastic, but good luck with the submission and I hope you will post the outcome as an addendum to this thread.

    I once submitted an 1811 half that looked a lot like that 1814 and it got bagged by NGC. In an ideal situation, I'd say all of them should be graded, but my gut feeling tells me maybe one or two might end up in genuine holders.

    100% with him on this one, A nice group no matter what PCGS says but I just can't see them all coming back with grades no matter what they look like.

    Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image
