Poor Morgan Eagle!!

There isn't much this week to add to my set so was bumming around Ebay when I saw THIS.

It didn't look too bad until I saw the reverse. Why would someone do that??!

Yeah, I saw that earlier this week. It is too bad. The final price seems to be fair for what it is. It would not be a bad hole filler till a nicer one came along, which is often. But,if limited on funds, this is not bad.
  • The eagle did it. Either him or the butler.

    LOL! Nice.

I contemplated buying this but I don't think I could ever get over that X.

It actually appears to be quite an attractive piece.

I like the look of it otherwise. What a shame!

It could also be a Love Token.. People that couldn't read or write usually signed things with an X... image

It is a rare coin, it shows wear and abuse. It is, however, genuine. Therefore, to a COLLECTOR, (as opposed to a flipper, or faddist, or lemming, or elitist) that coin will serve very well in a COLLECTION. Cheers, RickO
