FEC does not in fact work for Flying Eagle Coins as claimed ...

I just got off of the phone with James, the owner of Flying Eagle Coins in Oklahoma. He informed me that Bobby Dobbs (aka FEC on these boards) does not in fact work for Flying Eagle Coins in any capacity, is not an agent for Flying Eagle Coins, and that the underhanded actions committed by FEC this weekend should not be attributed to Flying Eagle Coins.
Let's try to keep this thread civilized so that it does not get poofed.

I would think that PCGS would let this thread stand so as to clear the name of a Flying Eagle Coins, who FEC was pretending to be.

<< <i>Unfortunately, as FEC stated he would do, he was able to get my EBay auction shutdown by submitting last minute bids using a new ebay ID with 0 feedback and then claiming that the bids were fraudulently made. However, Ebay has refunded my fees so all that I am out is time ... a minor nuisance. >>
Now I see why you created this thread.
<< <i>Where did FEC state this? >>
I think that thread got poofed, but he did clearly state that he worked at Flying Eagle Coins and that was why there might be confusion as to how PM's were signed with different names since both the owner of Flying Eagle Coins and he used the same account here.
I was also wondering where he stated he would get your ebay auction shut down?
<< <i>Interesting,

I don't know anything about ebay auctions... that's a Fletcher thing.
and from speaking with Mr. Hill, I can tell a bit of an intelligent person in him as opposed to the young man who keeps calling me.
if PCGS and Mr. Willis want to verify the identity of FEC, who he has claimed to me in PM's that he is James Hill, I would venture to guess that this young man has been playing many of us for a fool..
and I'm the bad guy.....
remember if it walks and sqwauks like a duck...
Just a thought
From verbal threats (assault) to interfering with member listings
& Fraud - the guy's a real piece of work.
Incredible.
every day and every post.
oh, i do remember fletcher in that maybe going to hell post about the NGC 70 gold
coin calling FEC scummy when in reality it was very far from being accurate.
i wonder if that started this whole thing off.
and on another note i had no idea FEC was supposed to stand for flying eagle coins.
never once did i make that connection or saw that stated.
If anyone has had a successful BST transaction with him or with this
person under the alleged eBay ID provided, perhaps they can shed
some light on this subject.
The particulars surrounding Fletcher's eBay listing is HIS business
and as such, his to disclose or to keep to himself.
If FEC DID in fact threaten to screw with Fletcher's eBay listing via PM,
again it would be up to Fletcher to support this allegation by copying
& pasting the exact PM.
FEC first threatened me over a coin he had opened & tampered with
& wanted to then return though it (the coin) definitely was NOT my coin.
He then threatened bodily harm to MorganHunter2. If memory serves me
MorganHunter2 caught him using one Name yet later signed off as a completely
different First Name. (I believe he first referred to himself as James Hill yet
later signed off as "Bobby"!) Perhaps MH2 can shed some light on this as
can the person who supposedly bought the group of Morgan Dollars on the
BS&T forum which oh BTW are NOW LISTED on eBay using the ID mentioned
above, aka "key_dates". If someone has purchased coins here or off eBay
from key_dates, perhaps they can help get to the bottom of this as well.
Here's part of our PM's where he signs it Bob.

Bob,
When you look at a giant sized pic like that the dings and marks are greatly exaggerated. In hand I think that one is a 4. I used that coin because it was the top one and I didnt think it would be fair or accurate to go and look for the best one and use it.

I can attest, but would like to see his response for the intent to ruin a business..that he is not associated with.

That would undermine the trust associated with all the private deals I have done in here. In no way, shape or form (unless some type of serious theft occured) should ANY member here share such sensitive info with ANYONE else!

I'm not sure where the privacy issue is here. First, some kind of theft (serious, implied, or otherwise) may have occurred. Second, I don't think the poster had any intentions of violating anyone's privacy.
I posted on the "go to hell" thread that his price was ok for an NGC 70. In this thread he made it sound like he was a dealer by the way he worded the post but I was suprised a dealer didn't know the difference in price between a PCGS 70 and NGC 70. I wrote it off to not knowing moderns. I then asked if it might be hot and he responded again like a B&M dealer saying that state law required "them" (he spoke in the plural like he was part of a business) to record names and contact info for all gold bought.
Then I noticed fletcher's auction was won by a zero feedback bidder who bumped it up several hundred $. I thought "good for him". Turns out it was not a real bid.
Although I never saw much negative out of FEC personally, it sounds like he was pretending to be something he was not.

If you mean "Don't post real names and addresses" I don't think that was the intent but we all would agree with that statement. --Jerry

I think what Boom is asking for is someone to vouch that FEC is who he says he is and that if you had a transaction with him was it good.
Right now- 'FEC' claims to be James Hill who owns a shop in Oklahoma City - Flying Eagle Coins, but then 'FEC' signs off on some PM's as Bobby- well the real question is - who is he? I know he is not James Hill of Flying Eagle Coins in OKC- I spoke to the man myself, and he has emphatically told me he is not a member here and was not amused at what was transpiring on the boards with him using his shop as well as his name.
If he is Bobby and goes by key_dates on ebay- then so be it- but why play the game of being someone else ie- James Hill, what to ruin his business?
Oh and if I knew how to post the PM's I would share what he has sent me, as well as my response to him-
<< <i>Wow... and just the other day he was asking if he was going to Hell
He sure in hell is going there NOW ......
Return label on the package is from Moore, OK and has a female name.
<< <i>A while back I purchased a Seated Quarter from FEC. No problems. Just today I received a package from FEC which was a roll of walkers. Delivered fast both times. Actually I believe I returned the quarter b/c I didn't like the look of it. I also purchased a AU VDB cent from him I believe. Never had a problem with him.

Interesting, It would appear that FEC was acting as a coin dealer and attempting to flip coins with information gained from members here. Maybe he pretended to be that dealer in order to get some sort of respect? Who knows but it would appear that he is no longer a member at this point.
