tomorrow, if Gold maintains it $960+ price range today. Expect a $50 price increase for the UHR and $25 for the First Spouse

Likewise...the St. Gaudens design has been overused. Time to change and come up with something new. Perhaps the Perth Mint can come up with an "original" design of what to use unsold UHR blanks for. I'm so disappointed with the US Mint in constantly recycling the same old lame, but at one time popular, designs.

Is anyone really buying these from the mint now? Ebay's prices will be much cheaper.

Golds at $1,042 today.. the mint has the UHR at $1,389.. shouldnt it be higher or since it was at that price when gold was only at $1,008???

I'm assuming they'll cancel the UHR on Oct29th when they start minting the gold Buffalo proof..

The UHRs are for ever destined to be a coin worth thier melt value. The mintage is just too damn large.

When the bids come out in the CDN for the UHR's I believe they will be around melt just like they are on a lot of the First Spouse Issues.

The UHR will not end up at melt as long as they are on sale at the Mint. Otherwise you could buy them and return them to the Mint for the sale price. They will have a numismatic premium for quite a while IMHO. Perhaps not a huge one, but well over melt and bullion.

UHR will not be repriced higher until Gold exceeds the next threshold which is $1,050+(That could be as early as next Wed. afternoon) UHR's will be minted until the e/o December.

If gold stays below $1050 until next Wednesday, the mint will drop the UHR price. It may be a buying opportunity for those who are interested.
