    Great coins!
  • This is a great looking coin, I think, for $35.

Unfortunately the seller only takes checks on UK banks or takes about a month to clear if on U.S. banks.

At least that's the copy on the web site.

Rob Pearce of R.P Coins. Anyone do business with them-know whether or not they'll take PayPal or a credit card?

I've bought quite a few form Rob, knowledgable guy. He does not take paypal or credit cards unfortunately. usually I try to put together a big enough order to make it worth getting a wire done.

Here's another Trade DOllar that arrived this week, a 1908 B in 63.

  • Wow, longlasting thread! My good camera gear is packed up but here's a quick snap:

The penny is really nice, NGC65 now and I'm going to cross it at the ANA if I still have it then. I have a farthing (1825 I think) that hopefully is going to go PCGS67 - we'll see. These I sold on ebay not long ago:

  • Lancaster do you have any interesting in selling the 1826 Penny?

I'm thinking of trying to put together a set.

    Regards and thanks

    Well, just Love coins, period.
  • Well it isn't Friday, it's a repeat post and it isn't even a coin.

    But hey! :+)

  • This coin will be baaacckk-when I can get someone who actually knows how to
photograph a coin to do it for me image

It's an 1826 One Pence, PCGS MS 65 BN, one of two with none higher at this
    point in timel

But it's actually NOT brown-rather a beautiful panalopy of purples and blues.

Anyway, this is my first shot at it. I'm going to work on it some more and
    try to get it right......

Sweet looking penny you have there, CCN. A great looking image too. Personally, toned copper/bronze is very difficult to properly image.

That is a heckuva penny CCN. Keep posting 'em!

Not high grade, or rare... but a solid coin that I have kept for awhile... the white stuff is cardboard dust on top of the 2x2...

Here's a raw sixpence that fills a hole. Bit of a weak strike, this.

An entombed sixpence that fills a hole. That scratch you see is on the slab.

I have no idea what reverse from "aboutfarthings.co.uk"die this is. The obverse is A.

From across the pond. This one bedeviled my low-tech camera. It is prooflike and in an old and very scratched up green holder.

You want the rolls or just the singles ???

These £5 rolls are heavy, btw. They're OBWs with Tower Hill Bank printed on royal purple paper. image Wait a minute, you don't collect gold.

Wait, do you want this 1854 OBW roll set I have? It's the farthings through florins, inclusive. I'll keep the nasty gold......LMK, 'K

  • No, sorry, but my Bullheaded King George III Half Crown is not for sale.

None of my coins are for sale. : )

Here is a relatively new piece I added this year. My poor old 20th century technology camera can do it no justice.

  • Beautiful medal.

Bob, do you have any pricing information on this medal or several others you've posted?

My wig picker tells me I'm on the verge of yet another obsessive/compulsive binge and I'm hoping
that seeing how many hogs I'd have to sell to buy one will snap me out of it.....+)

I just picked this one up. I did some touch up on the high points to reduce the glare but I guess that's all right
since I'm sure Michaelangelo wouldn't have minded the janitor adding a few personal touches here and there..

Cool looking medal, CCN. Now get help before it's too late. image

I'm looking to get a nice Cartwheel someday and one those crazy looking Manx 1P.

Nice coins Wybrit- the 1879 Farthing looks to be the normal 9.

Coinkat - yes, it is the normal 9. There are several varieties Colin G has identified with just the normal 9 - and I'm trying to figure out which one it is and haven't quite nailed it.

School prize medal featuring Edward VI on the obverse (BHM 2502). Edward VI was crowned
at age 9 and died before age 16.

    I really like his hats!

What are you going to do with a pair Wybrit?

Here are a couple of Halfpennies in 66BR for the Vicky and 66RB for the Eddie VII:

What are you going to do with a pair Wybrit?

The second one is the circulation date, 1849. The 1848 is a pattern / proof only issue.

    Very nice halfpennies, BTW.

  • It's been a while since I've had something to add here.

    New this week-

    image
  • Nestled in the prongs of death. 1806 Bronzed 1/4 P NGC Proof 64 Brown.

This is coin is a lot more attractive than I could catch with my camera. I may try
it again in sunlight. But at least I could vignette it to get rid of the danged NGC teeth.

It actually has nice refelective fields, blue and bronze colors that obviously don't show.

    Nothing new there..image
