I thought I saw a post here that someone on EBay bid $150.00 for a two roll set. To answer your question I saw the Lemming line at the ANA Money Show in Portland so had to get in it once the word went out that the US Mint was running out of them. They were limiting buyers to one set each and they did run out at the show.
<< <i>I purchased 5 sets. As yes they are currently bringing anywhere from $40-$150 for a P & D set. Some sellers have the BIN over $100 on ebay, and will probably get it. Personally, I'm not going to flip them, but keep them tucked away for a long time. >>
Ditto.
I will however, open a box to take a peek
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
I just checked and they all show In Stock and Reserved so I hope to get mine.
Promised two sets to my Dad... might flip the three I keep, since I'll probably end up with the other two in the course of time...

Define "Stupid Money"?
Do you mean double or triple of what you paid or do you mean 10 or 15 times what you paid?
Since they are selling at 6 to 8 times what was paid, is that Stupid Money?

And my listing fees.............
And my Paypal fees............
And my Mailing fees............
Two more are up for grabs as I only have room for two sets.......... one I'll open and the other I won't. (Unless, of course, someone finds an edge lettered Lincoln!
IMO, this first coin in the series, coupled with its current popularity and the fact that the US Mint really DROPPED the ball by NOT offering these two roll sets on the First Day of Issue, will make this particular set a long term winner. I could almost guarantee that you WILL never, be able to purchase these for less than double their offering price. The jeyword here is "almost"!
The second and third coins in the series will be loser's unless some type of mint error is found in the "Official Mint Rolls". The fourth coin could also get passed over as everybody loses interest and/or does not want to gamble because they lost their butts on Number Two and Number Three.
Been there and done that with those frigging Keelboat, Bison and Ocean in View Nickel! Damn! I only ordered 1 set of the Peace Medal Nickels (along with everybody else) for $8.95. They went Super Nova after the Bison Nickel was released so I later sold that one set for $93.00!
I then turned around and bought a truckload of the Keelboat and Bison Nickles which then proceeded to be "over-sold" and now I'm lucky and I mean REALLY lucky if I can get my original $8.95 price for them! Losers!!!!!!!
The lesson to be learned here is to pay attention and when it comes time to jump into the fray, make your jump! But.....you must pay attention or you'll quickly find that the pool is empty and your gonna get hurt!
Anybody have any figures on how many were sold by the Mint??

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
Will also be holding them, the wrapper version and the low amount 100k means these should retain a healthy price whenever you resell.
If a BILLION new cents go into circulation, people aren't going to save many.. there will be too many to save ! definitely going to buy 5 rolls of each of the other 3 designs.
Also put out a BIN pre-sale after seeing the $158.50 someone paid for 2 rolls....
Not really anxious to sell any and, so far, no takers
If this doesn't sell it will be the 2 rolls I open to check them out. Maybe I can sell the wrappers on the Bay...like the empty boxes I see people buy
