is just as tough with a higher mintage of 13,220. PCGS VG10.
Just 12 specimens traced in all grades combined...
1796 Myddelton Token, Copper, PF62 BN [PCGS]
Another coin with just a dozen or so known...
I no longer own either coin.

Its a beautiful coin, I never tire of looking at it. Almost "too" perfect for a buffalo nickel.
If we talk "coin related" this Brenner Lincoln Plaque certainly is a rare piece. I recently learned that this is part of a larger plaque, with wording, and only 12 are known to exist. Mine has never been part of a plaque, as the mounting screw posts are untapped. (it also makes a nice icon!)

Nor have I ... rare as PCGS would define rare not as many e-bay seller define rare!

FYI: You can tell by the doubling on the feathers. A unique trait that makes seeing the actual date unnecessary.
I always loved this piece.

Thanks, Doug! Wow - I think you upgraded my coin!
Maybe I'll keep it now, instead of selling it!
(I'm still figuring out the software for my new D60... )
My theory is that 500 exist. The other 5000 (supposed amount) were not boldly detailed tail feathers and were in a subsequent shipment to General Mills. Two correspondences with this company cannot corroborate, nor invalidate. The best recollection was "Oh yeah, I remember the ten million penny giveaway". Further inquiries turned up nothing. But they looked for me and wrote me back. They had no way of retrieving this information. It's still left to conjecture on how "rare" this modern pattern is.
Time will tell and a lot of eyes searching.
