A huge thank you to Blu62vette - you do some NICE WORK!
I contracted Blu62vette to image some coins for me. They aren't anything super. Some I want to sell latter. Some I just wanted images for so that if I have to sell them some years down the road, I'll have images. I thought the images would be cool to load on my iPod and take with me to shows. Whatever.
So Blu62vette finishes up in like a day and sends me a link to a preview page and asks "is there anything you don't like, should I reshoot anything for you?"
I open the page and don't even recognize these are my coins until I scroll halfway down the page and see the proof roos. Talk about a double take.
You have to understand, these aren't even very "nice" coins by forum standards. They're all just what a lot of you guys call widgets. But holy cow do they look good to my eyes under Blu62vette's lens.
So I just want to publicly thank Blu62vette. Thank you. Your camera kung-fu is better than mine...

I try to emulate his photos but can't come close. He is masterful with editing as well. I can look at his photos for hours and not get bored.

It probably was not intetional but stops serial number scabbing for registry sets.
OF course you cannot do that for NGC's It would cover too much of the label
<< <i>I actually like the way he covers some of the serial number up with the images on PCGS coins

Thanks for all the comments. These were some very nice pieces to work with. I was real happy with the results. On the PCGS slabs I make a point to cover the last 3 digits. The people I shoot for normally want to share the photos and this way they can without worry.
The funny think is I would never have paid these two coins a second though if I just saw a text description in a pricesheet or CW advert. Images do sell coins - that's for sure.
I'm just arranged through email to have Blu62vette shoot another 30 or so of my coins this week. Those will me more MS type of coins. I can't wait to see the results.
Wonderful job, Todd.
