    My best friend said Meijer has 20% off baseball this week, so he got 6 blasters for $15.99 each. They apparently get the walmart ones too, as he had THREE SPs out of 48 packs, 4 or 5 chromes.... However, he was spared from complete doom by pulling Gil McDougald Flashback Auto 20/25. So if you were wondering whether good stuff could be found in the blasters this year, the answer is yes. There's also a chance you get one like he did where the top 5-7 cards of each pack were all orange rookies.... Back to work now.

    Topps must have a beef with Walmart.....I also opened a blaster with no SPs.............statistically is that possible? Four packs had no inserts....I glad I only bought one. I guess it's more of a gamble to get the big pull......but not to build the set.

    Well I really should be sorting, but decided to make a Target run instead. They had 10 blasters and 2 retail boxes...I actually exhibited a little self control and only bought 3 blasters and one sealed retail box. Rip report coming up.

    I'm missing out on all the great trading......my blaster cases will probably be here tomorrow or Monday but we'll be on our way to sunny FL. When I return, which is not for 2 weeks, I'll be ripping & posting & then hoping to trade so will be picking up the slack from other burnt out addicts like Kevin, Doran, & Mike.

    On another note, my 4 blasters showed up today from ebay

    Thinking they wouldn't show up and having a need to rip something, I picked up a box of Leaf Certified Materials football and a box of Upper Deck Hockey Champs at lunch today too

    anyone got variations for trade, LMK. Having 2 now makes me want to get them all

    Thanks guys for the endorsements, I think I've received all my trades. This time of year is sooooo busy for me, (being a tax accountant isn't always as glamourous as its portrayed in the movies image ), so if I am couple days late on mailing please be patient. I was planning on checking everything off tonight and getting it in a binder, but sleep may take priority. <----Thats sad I'm only 25! image

    Well I was proud of my self control earlier when I left blasters on the shelf, but my wife just called and said Target still had 5 blasters and 23 retail packs (guess somebody snagged the hit), and of course I told her to buy it all. image So much for updating my list for awhile.

    of course I didn't get any chromes I needed but it was fun

    1 pack even had a Randy Winn facing the opposite direction in the pack. Got my hopes up for a couple seconds but it was the normal one

    Like several others around here, thanks to some great traders I'm about to put this set to rest. Thanks go out to Mike, Kevin, Stoney, Chris, Jason and JimR for the trades and help!!!

    I've whittled it down to a card or two, and I'm sure I'll find those soon, so bring on the high numbers!! Now, back to finishing up the 2008 High Numbers insert sets...

    Had to goto a meeting today for work about 40 miles from here, they have a Target and 2 Walmarts, but I've sworn off Walmarts for awhile, so I just hit the Target. Apparently no one is buying cards there, 'cause the 2 boxes my friend said were there this weekend were basically intact. Picked up 37 packs of 09, and 11 packs of 08 Hi-nums, and 3 A&G blasters, left the 9 08 Hi Num blasters behind. They didn't have any 09 blasters, probably would have passed on those too. Results:

    37 Retail packs from Target
    11 SPs
    1 Refractor
    3 Chrome
    3 NAP
    3 BF
    3 NF
    3 T&N
    10 Mayos (which makes up nicely for the 2 in 14 packs the first time): Chipperx2, Hanleyx3, Ichirox2, Pedroiax2, Braun

    So now I just need to update the wantlists for remaining Mayos and other stuff.

    These boards are like 3000 packs into the 2009 season and we have yet to have a big hit. That kinda sucks. Lets hope Ginter isn't like this.

    ok, how about 5000 packs? I can't even name a huge pull that someone has had on here, certainly we are due? Who is going to get us out of
    this slump and hit one off the wall for multiple bases?
