I've gotta post just to say hello.........so Hello.
I started reading the thread from the beginning last night but still have 35 pages to go.

I was undecided on Heritage this year but had planned on going with Larry Roselli if I did buy. Thank heavens I was too late for that. Soooo after seeing the Usual Suspects on this thread and pm's from several (including a Merry Christmas, just to show how long it's been since I last was here) I jumped with both feet on all (5) the blaster cases Jack Lockwood has in stock today. He does have more coming he told me. Also since we're gone on another vacation Friday, these probably won't be opened until our return 4/4.

Good to see all of my Heritage friends back and Merry Christmas Geordie !

hobby. got them at a CD / cool store called Newbury comics - local franchise from Boston. They have about 6 locations in the northeast

all they got in were those 12 packs. They'll get more in a few days to replenish. They hold Heritage cards for me if I ask them too

Kevin, it's the store your red ink Duke Snider came from image

Next year Im driving up there and buying my packs from them!

I came across 8 blasters at walmart today, didn't buy any of them but for anyone looking for some walmart is getting
them in big time. I think the jumbo packs are the better deal, but you never know with the blasters.

hmm, ok common cards are 40 bucks a piece

There are 18 cards listed at 50 bucks

There are 14 cards listed at 60 bucks

There are 7 cards listed at 80 bucks

That is $2,740 by my math

I'm not so sure, this is a very popular set and complete ext sets are almost unheard of, epsecially when rip cards go for 50 bucks +. I see plenty
of room for appreciation in the future! Nice set

no pressure guys but the 2008 Heritage Post got 2095 posts, up almost 400 posts from the 2007 post, meaning we need to hit
almost 2400 posts this year...quick someone make a walmart run!

I'll likely strike out, but I'll make a quick pass of the 2 Walmarts in my neck of the woods. I finally drained the nearest Target of 08 Hi-num blasters, so MAYBE they'll finally stock some #$%&^Q#($ 09 Heritage! I don't wanna drive 25 mins minimum to find a Target with cards when I have one 5 mins from my house! Ok done, ranting, off to Wally World.

Monday I bought a hobby box for $59. Tuesday I bought a hobby box for $59. It was THE box for a set builder. You know that box that has ALL of the cards you need to finish your set? This was it. I also spotted Heritage at Walmart tonight. I only had $50 on me so I bought 2 blasters and a jumbo pack. One blaster yielded 4 SPs. Not bad.

    NO SSPs to date.

Quite possibly the most craptastic blaster ever to be opened, I will never EVER buy another one from WalMart, or possibly from Topps for that matter. Here's the damage, if I knew the guy at Topps that packed this one, I'd kick him in the teeth and sucker punch him in the gut a dozen times.

    ZERO SPs!!!
NF9 (I have more of these than MY BASE SET COMMONS)
BF10 (I have almost as many of these!)
    C69 Yovani Gallardo

That's it. Just to piss me off more, there was a Conor Jackson behind the Chrome, normal of course. Even the base set cards sucked, I think I got 4 stars total. So much for the odds of pulling an SP, I opened 8 packs, got nada. Woulda bought Jumbos, but neither store had them, just the one crappy blaster to end all crappy blasters.

Joe & I are still waiting for our retail cases, but in the meantime I did receive a very nice surprise from Jason. The Martin & Penny are refractors, the Manny goes into my relic set, and as for the Tommy auto, I draw first blood for 2035 Heritage. Ha!!

Thanks so much for another great pick-me-up, Jason!!

No, I didn't head back to Walmart, but only because my wife said she would run over there on her lunch and pick them up if they were still there. I'll go through all of my cards tonight and see where I am at with my extras, I need to put my set in the binder anyway. I'm pretty sure I have 477 and NF 5 for you.
