Nice toning on the obverse, I would say 64 overall. Do you do the vam thing? Looks like a die clash by her neck. Reflections in photo

kind it give it a doubling effect around the date and stars...
....and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make....

The "doubling effect" is a shadow effect of the toning.

The cheek is too dark to see any chatter on about half of it, but i'll say easy 63 shot 64. (i've seen MUCH worse in 64 holders!)

Nice reverse, is it PL in hand? These are rare 65 and up and tough in PL.
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

PCGS MS64, reverse PL. NGC MS65. Neat cresent toning. Might have come from a hoard originally. Cresents usually come from other coins being stacked on top of them for a long period. Can't be sure, but it's possible.

    Nice Morgan.

    64 overall. Nice tone.

Depending on how the cheek looks in hand it might swing either way-63/64. The Reverse is 64 semi-Pl I bet, but the pics appear just a smidge blurry to me. Might be this head cold I'm dealing with though. image

Is there a letter transfer by the neck?

Looks like old ANACS/ANA holder toning.

    I'll guess MS64.

Yes, there is a clashed n and the date is doubled. (8 &2 doubled)
The best I can figure is that its VAM-22A

But it doesn't mention anything about the clashes at the hair line.

Looks like a solid MS63 to me with a chance at MS64. Someone referred to the toning as cresent, but to me it's just a rim toned Morgan, probably album toned.

Is there an 8 in the denticles below the 1-8?

The orginal photos make it look like some slight break in the luster on the hair above the ear and cheek as well as the breast of the eagle. If that is the case, It looks like a nice AU-58. If that's a figment of the photo, then I am calling it an MS63.

I'd say a solid MS63, even if it goes against the tide. The cheek and left obverse fields are primary focal areas and are pretty baggy. Reverses of Morgans are commonly a couple points nicer than the obverses and don't add points to the overall grade. There were years when this would get a 64 though. That said, if I was to choose a side to get that handsome rim toning it would be the obverse, right where it is. I think the coin presents well and has the right eye appeal for a Morgan of the era. The breast feathers I am sure are fuller than they appear in the image. The strike looks great. You don't find the rim line squaring up so well over the denticles on 1882-Ps to often at all. I suppose, on another day, I might go with MS64. But I say MS63 today, at least.

I'm sorry but there's no way that coin is an ms64.

Not the way they're grading today.

    Beautiful coin though. MS63 IMHO.
