Seems like most will be selling them immediately! Post here if your intention is to keep long term.

<< <i>If I buy a couple (no reason today should be that day) I'd keep them. And I wouldn't foolishly send them to PCGS to get the ridiculous First Strike tag on them either. Mint Packaging should be adequate and probably preferrable long term. >>
I don't like mint capsules. I like the holders much beter for viewing the coins. If you'd like to just send them my way I'd be glad to return them to you in a PCGS holder. --jerry

Just a difference in aesthetics. I should have expanded my preference to also note that I see no need for TPG grading of them. You guys who sell or do the registries with them have a different focus.
In contradiction, however, I was just discussing with a fellow collector how stupid it is for us to be sending Morgan dollars to TPGs for VAM designations on the tags when we already know the attributions as well as any TPG attributor does. The market of disposition is the bail out of the apparent hypocrasy. So basically, it is a matter of one's exposure to the market. If you are selling these things tomorrow and the First Strike gravy train still has some steam, I suppose you are obliged to participate in that patently silly thing.

Why? Holders are similar to the Mint capsules only bigger and square.

The satisfaction I derive looking at it will far out weigh whatever profit I might make.

Here is the piece I own. It is a green label PCGS MS-63. I've tried to up grade it a couple of times, but the deals just never worked out.
Like the cash in my pocket after I flip this pig.
LOL
I will get a relative to order me one to keep after they die.
Sold mine on the bay already.

Well how did you do?
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

When did the Mint charge your credit card for the product you sold?

Have allready told the kids none of the coins can be sold until their kids go to college.
BTW neither of them have any children yet.
So yes I plan on keeping it and maybe getting another one later on.
<< <i>It's a good thing the mint placed a limit of one coin per household... otherwise people would be ordering two or three. Oh wait, they already have... I bet you people also kick cute defenseless puppies

Sold it for $1688 BIN w/free shipping
After approx $100 in PP & ebay fees, plus postage & insurance costs, I figure I'll come out about $340-$350 ahead.
Not a bad return, I think.
(Just think of city streets clogged with a hundred thousand horses each generating 15 lbs of manure every day...)
<< <i>Bill, that coin won't grade MS64. >>
I guess you misinterpreted what I said. I've never tried to get THAT coin upgraded. I've considered trying to buy one in MS-64, but it's never worked out.
