Who's up for it? This is my first US coin show and I certainly look forward meeting some of you after being on this great little place for over 5 years now (geez, has it really been that long?).
I would suggest to meet somewhere near the convention center for lunch during one of the show days. I am sure there are plenty of places around where a group can easily be seated (although that off course depends on the size of the group) and have some good discussions. Maybe someone who has visited FUN and/or Orlando previously and knows a place can suggest something?

I've never been to FUN, so I'll let someone else suggest a place.
Edited to add: I will get in Wednesday morning, but won't be available this day. Thursday is the best day for me.

Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
I'm up for a meeting Thursday night or earlier... I'm out Friday morning. From what I recall, the show isn't that close to anything, and a nighttime meeting may work better, since all of the hotels in the area are close together, and there are ample restaurants from which to choose if people want an eating meeting (hehe, it rhymes!) Just the driveway to the convention center's a mile plus, if I recall.

I will be there on Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday. I expect to see all of the respondents to this thread, at some point. If MikeinFL does not take Thursday off and attend the show, I will block all future PMs from him.
IIRC, dining places are in short supply in the immediate vacinity of the convention center.
Anyone who has other options? Just post them in this thread and we will work smoething out

If people here want to meet Thursday morning for Breakfast before the doors to the show open, I'd be down for that.
(I would just need to know a place nearby that has a good breakfast, aside from the free bagel breakfast your hotel may provide!!!)
Again, just an idea that I am kicking out there.

I'll be the one drooling all over the capped bust coinage because I won't have enough money to buy anything.
I'll have a roll of paper towels under my arm to wipe off all the display cases I slober on.
Will be there all day Friday.
Edited to add - Trying to wind down after drinking all night on New Year's. Sprite cures a nauseous stomach, haha.

That may work best for me. I already have a dinner invite for Thur night with some dealer friends, and lunch is usually taken while walking the floor.

I suggest two possible places and times to meet.
Either Thursday evening around 6:30 pm (need to verify the time) right before the Heritage Platinum auction in the BACK OF THE AUCTION ROOM for about 20 minutes which is enough time for all of us to at least say hello to each other and decide on attending the auction itself or not. It seems like a lot of dealers and collectors partake of the complimentary food and soft drinks offered by Heritage at that time anyway and/or go out to dinner afterwards.
Or Friday at lunchtime 12:45 pm INSIDE the convention floor by the far side (around the 1600 row?) takeout cafeteria. This seems to be the preferred time for collectors but NOT dealer members.
These two times and places makes it possible for most board members to pop in and say hello.
A breakfast and dinner place and time outside the convention center seems more plausible for a Baltimore show but not as well suited for the FUN show in my opinion.
