  I have seen some of the older ones sell for descent money......the Kennedy's usually trade for $20 or less so....yes it's worth more than melt

  I have a "type set" of punch out Barbers . I bought them seperatly off e-bay earlier
  this year . A funny story, I ended up winning the Barber dime for about $ 26 (I bid over $ 200,
  on this one because you just don't see the dimes very often like the quarters and halves)
  anyway, some clown e-mailed me after I won and told me his son saw it and wanted that
  "Barbera" coin and wanted to know if I would sell it. I guess he thought I was crazy when I told him
  what it was worth to me.

  I've never seen anything like that in my life. That's bizarre! I think I would rather have had the original coin, though!
