That is interesting, what are you storing it in?

Ever since I broke it out from the slab it's been in a plastic flip.

A quick dip will restore it to it's former beauty. image Cheers, RickO
  • That's a nice looking coin there, I wish some of mine's would tone like that.

And the plastic flip sits on top of the stove....image

  • That is really curious. Are you storing it in a safe with other things like guns?

No, actually it's sitting in a cubby hole on my computer desk, it's the one in the middle sitting on the PCGS slab. I was going to list it on eBay but never got around to it. Now I guess I'll keep it for awhile to see what it does image

not sure what is in those PCI slabs, but they sure affect pure silver

put it back the way it was until it gets even better. Put a couple Morgans there too then sell them as original bag toning to the herd.......image

Actually, the Morgans will tone differently than the eagle due to the silver content.

This argument was brought up some time back and I was adamently against it but the reality is that a 99.999 fine Silver Coin will tone much differently and much quicker than a 90% Silver coin. Many including the OP have proven this.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

I agree. Freshly dipped and they will tone quicker yet.

  • Wrap it up a Taco Bell napkin & see if it improves image
  • The OP pictures look different from each other mainly due to the lighting.

The 2nd set of pictures have more light as you can now see the stitching in the cloth that I took the pictures on. The coin is changing color and turning MUCH darker.
