In the 1960's parents were told that they could help secure their child's future by giving them $100

This $1000 face of 90% silver coins was supposed to help secure their future. In the era of the Cold War I guess it made sense to have some hard money.
Do you ever think we'll reach a point within the next few decades where people are advised that that they should put away $1000, or $5000 or $10000 face in clad?

However, I would not mind having someone give me selected high grade, MS Clad coins. For example 1969P and 1983P quarters in MS 65 or better. Give me a few hundred dollars of those coins and I will be very happy.
