Matt,
In the future, just copy & paste your pics using the IMG Code box under each pic from your Photobucket page.
Nice case incidentally!

p.s. Jeff .... looks like we were both trying to help at the same time ... pardon the duplication of pics!
we use the 1450 & the 1500 Pelican Case for our camera kits and the clients love 'em. a bit over the top for cards, though.
Need some 2007 A&G Regular Back Mini's PM if you have any and I will send my needs list.
I believe the MJ Roop storage boxes were around $100 and they were not customizable, portable, or fire resistant.
Then again, they aren't in business any longer for some reason... perhaps this very one.
Still, it might be something worth further consideration if you were to buy the cases and customize them as orders came in... an on demand model to keep costs down.
Snorto~
<< <i>They are fire resistant. They have a 500 degree melt rating, which is about 150 degree hotter than most house fires. >>
Hmmm. So you're saying that the average house fire is about 350 degrees - about the temperature of an oven for baking cookies???
Not according to this: house fires (In only 3 1/2 minutes, the heat from a house fire can reach over 1100 degrees Fahrenheit. )

I don't know if it's over the top or not. Some PSA sets top $10K and more. Well worth the expense.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
<< <i>...and larger cases to hold PSA registered sets of 500-700 quanity would probably be $300. >>
I would pay $300 for a nice case that would hold my 1959 Topps set.

You missed the more relevant line... "In rooms that are not even on fire the temperature can reach over 300 degrees"
My huge gun safe works just fine for me!!!

OK, got it. If the room is not on fire it'll be safe.
BTW, Why does this thread look like spam to me? A product posted by "the Managing Director for Pelican".

i have reconsidered my opinion and would tend to agree about the value aspect. in fact, i am thinking of getting one and bringing it home to see how nicely some of my finer individual items would fit inside.

I have used those type of cases before to hold environmnetal sampling equipment at a prevoius job, those things are tuff!!
I appreciate all of you using our products right now, Maybe with the amount of positive response this thread recieved, I will explore marketing such a product.
PSA is only about 45 minutes from our factory in CA. Maybe I should see about scheduling a meeting with Joe Orlando next time I am out there.
side note glad to see someone is using the Pujols icon I uploaded in August!
You can also tailor the foam into what works for set!
Better quality and pricing than MJRoop!
Or am I missing something?
Orange case
Loves me some shiny!
Sinbad, You really can't get them anywhere. I am the Managing Director for Pelican, the case you see in the picture. These are expensive cases (I.E. This case would probably cost $149.95 on the open market) and I am reluctant to try and find someone willing to market such an expensive case to the Card Collecting Industry. I am not sure anyone would want to spend this kind of money on a case to hold sets and individual cards. For Reference the Individual Card holder would probably retial for $250.00 and larger cases to hold PSA registered sets of 500-700 quanity would probably be $300. I wanted to post the pictures, but I am not sure this will ever be a mainstream viable option to store and ship cards.
???????????????????????????????????????????
<< <i>The orange case in the pictures is a $70 case, as looks to be well worth it.

<< <i>Guys, I hope this was not taken as some intent to SPAM the boards with some sales pitch. I created these for myself, as I have the ability to acquire the cases and have the foam produced for next to nothing. I only wanted to put pictures up, more in a response to a previous thread regarding how a 1986-87 Fleer Basketball was shipped and the condition it arrived in.

before you market such a product, try getting rid of the offensive Avatar....this is a PG site and dont like my daughters (who frequent this site) subjected to Smut and innuendo.....

If it is so offensive, perhaps you should provide your daughters with some Parental Guidance, then.

GO CUBS.
Matt
I have a 153 card graded set that I would like to house in one of these cases. I would want it to be three rows of 51 cards each, so each of the three "pockets" would have to be 3 1/4" by 10", so A) which is the smallest case that would serve this need (maybe the 1450?), and
Edited to add: Much like your first picture of the 1987 Fleer set you have. (how many are in each row in that picture?)
Matt
This sight sells all the models with the Pick and Pluck foam that you tailor to the needs of your set.
A 1500 goes for $99 with the foam.
May I suggest you Wiki "Google".

Or look on Ebay... a simple search of "Pelican case" will help you find what you need..
Carew, Please undertand that there is a difference between a case with pick and pluck foam and a case with customized foam in it. When I used the term "production samples" it pertains to the case with the custom foam interior. Its a production sample, becuase I only had a foamer run 2 sets of the custom foam for me. Anyone is more than willing to go online an purchase a case with our standard "pick and pluck" foam, but understand that this is not what is being shown in the pictures above. So the increase cost takes into account the case with a customized more dense (I.E. Greater protetion level) foam and the overall clean look that goes along with a customized piece of foam.
Matt
In fact in your example it look lie you set was short of filling out the last row.
This would not have been a problem if you used pick n pluck.
So, the same case with fully customizable foam that I can modify as I grow my set,
available right now in every size for a third/half of the prices you are quoting.
The 1450 in the example pics from your set is $86 with the p/p foam.
Maybe when ot comes the shipping a set there would be a difference in terms of foam,
but if I want a real nice case that keeps the cards seperated for general storage,
why would the foam be that much of a difference?
Either way Pelican makes a great case.

I have the web page all set, and the product I want picked out, but in this thread I get to talk to someone with first hand knowledge of the product.
Thanks for the info Matt.
