    You know, I actually learned a few new ones that I had either not known or not noticed in my 7+ years here.

    "Green bean" = CAC sticker. That was a new one on me. LOL.

    Hey, don't forget my meager "CircCam" contribution.

    Let me see if I can come up with a SHORT definition... how's this?

    A circulated coin with dark fields and lighter highlights (sort of like the cameo effect on proofs).

    Now I know what VAM means. I knew it had to do with Morgans, but I always thought the M stood for Morgan. Thanks for the update!!!

    Farside. You have the others like Darkside, Liteside, Greyside... but there is also ... the Far Side. It's not as commonly used, but it's not quite as commonly collected, either.

    Farside = exonumia: tokens, medals, etc.

    7070 = The popular Dansco #7070 "US Type" album for 19th & 20th century coins.

    BTW, in the interest of brevity, you can probably remove the portion of my "CircCam" definition that is in parentheses, since it is a wee bit too long for one line. Thanks for the credit on it.

    Can't believe that no one has of yet mentioned "OBW", which means an Original Bank Wrapped roll of MS coins.

    For example: a roll of 1957D Silver Roosevelt dimes that were wrapped by Colorado National Bank in downtown Denver, Colorado in 1957 in a paper coin roll with the ends of the roll tightly wound/crimped by the bank; with the roll being purchased at the bank in 1957 by a collector who then puts it away, only to have the roll surface in 2008 when the collector's kids who inherited the collection find the OBW roll of dimes and sell it on ebay to a Silver Roosevelt forumite collector who drools over the prospect of opening the OBW to search for the ever so elusive pristine 1957D MS Full Band Roosevelt that is submitted to a TPG for grading and which comes back graded MS69 Full Bands, which is then sold by the collector to a forumite registry fanatic who uses the newly slabbed Top Pop dime to upgrade his/her silver Roosie collection from #2 on the registry to #1; with the forumite collector and the forumite registry fanatic both posting about their good fortune on the US Coin Forums, garnering for them the coveted "You Suck" accolades from their peers on the forums, who are green with envy, wishing that they were the ones who bought the OBW on ebay, realizing that they were outbid by a sniper who used a just new to the market hyper-sniping program to place the high/winning bid for the OBW a mere 0.1 second before the closing of the auction, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 seconds after slightly older sniping program bids were placed by the three underbidders, who are also silver Roosie forumites fanatics.

    That, my friends is an OBW.

    OBW is a good addition to the dictionary. I found myself scratching my head cluelessly the first few times I read it.

    I still didn't know what it meant, until you just now mentioned it, and I looked it up at the top of the page!


    I hereby humbly propose that anytime somebody uses the dictionary, they should bump it TTT so that others will know it's here.

    Yes, do please give us a definition on the blue fish thing. I have never fully understood it, in all these years.

    Edit: aha. I unnerstand, now. The definition should be amended to read, "the symbol of the now-defunct Open Forum, though, lest our newbies try to start looking for what no longer exists.

    Would it be possible to flag the updates when they are made?
    One possibility would be to put an asterisk at the start of a new listing, which could easily be edited out when you make the next update.
