***FORUM LINGO DICTIONARY***

Since there are a ton of terms specific to a coin message board that many people, including myself, don't know about, why don't we spell them out here? Hopefully, this will reduce the number of threads about people asking what certain abbreviations are. I'll try to copy subsequent posts onto the OP.

Edited to add I agree with coinnut, didn't know what ATS meant either.

What's "POOF", What are stickers, and why are people proud recipients of the "You Suck Awards."? Thanks and sorry for the empty post above..
s
"Poof" is what happens when our host decides that a particular thread has gotten out-of-hand. POOF, it's gone, never to be seen again! Sometimes people go poof too....
It looks like the original poster is keeping up his list. Good work.
Proud recipient of two "You Suck" awards
Thanks.
Proud recipient of two "You Suck" awards
IMHO has always meant "In My Humble Opinion" here
as well as all other forums and newsgroups.
"Kool-Aid" is what Jim Jones served up to his followers
which was laced with poison. It is used here to denote
those who will blindly follow what is on the plastic rather
than think (and grade) for themselves, i.e., Kool-Aid
drinkers.

I've seen this one a lot, on eBay. I'm sure it
has been used here too, or at least on the
BST Forum.

I don't know what it means exactly but I've seen it used numerous times.
