While not out right fruad, its a scam and deceptive. Its a misleading title. Granted, all one needs to do is read the description to see its a copy, its still misleading and the seller knows it.
Looking for Au Classic Commems... Also looking for VF-EF Seated halves.
In the old days, other EBAYers could warn these bidders of this scam. Back then, the names of the bidders were displayed.

I've taken the liberty of reporting this auction to ebay. I also sent this to the seller:
<< <i>Is this how they do things in Canada? You need to tell the buyer what he's actually going to be getting BEFORE he pays ... this auction has already been reported to eBay ... and they're watching! Enjoy your evening! >>
Don't know if it will do any good, but I'd sure appreciate someone watching out for my best interest if I didn't know any better! This kind of crap is what gives the hobby AND legitimate sellers a bad rap.

So, I wrote and said his description was very deceptive and he's heading for his first negative and a buyer that will get his money back. Need to change verbage, stop auction and start over and here's the response I got:

This may have helped him....
A mil is one thousandth (1/1000") of an inch.
This coin has a 10 mil gold plating or 1/100" of an inch. 254 micron plating for the metrically inclined.
off of EBAY. She moved to eCrater and gozbay.
The tokens can be had in wholesale quantity for about a $1.00.
The tokens are still prevalent on EBAY. The "Maximillian" tokens
are made by the same outfit; also HGE garbage. Heavy Gold Electroplate.
The scum that sells these as "coins" needs to be in PRISON.

Another interesting link on gold plating:
Artisan Plating
The plating in question is 10/1,000,000" inch thick.
I stand corrected. This COPY is worth even less than I thought!
