Hi members, I just also got about 10 proof sets of 1961's and 62's yesterday at the ANA coin Show in Baltimore. Paid $5 a piece, don't remember what or who the dealer was but thanks. Some have this haze on them and golden little toothpick spots. So my question is what mixture should I use with Acetone/water and also how do I dry them.
There are some nice coins maybe a couple of cams but will the Actone hurt the frost on the coins. thanks for any help.

you say another acetone dipping???
Will it burn if I tried to wipe gently? You damn Bears. How's Poo bear been. He must be aleast 100 years old by now.
<< <i>Are you sure you purchased your sets from a dealer? I find it hard to believe that any dealer would sell them for $5 a set, unless it's Chinese counterfeit. If not, great buy. Dip your coin for about 1 second in e-Z-est...rinse in acetone ... pat dry. It will remove the haze, but if the spot is still there, I'll give you $7.50 per set. >>
Yea near the far back wall near the Anacs booth. This dealer had plastic buckets/tubs of old silver quarter and mercs if I remember. I did buy them all, the envelopes were shotty looking and maybe the dealer or pawnshop owner knew these weren't so great. Looks like they were never opened but looking at them right now they could of been and thats why they were priced for dumping. If anyone remembers If I recall there was a very older woman that was nice as can be and a young kid, the older gentleman was eating something when I asked the lady how much. As a Franky collector I said how much she thought for a minute and said $5 a piece. Didn't have to ay any taxes either. I will tryed to post a few spotty for you guys in the next few days so maybe some can help me. thanks.
