Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set: 1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S. Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
they should at least be like ms69's even if not sms....that sure would be a tough call either way by the way...is this yours or is it somewhere for sale??????????

I doubt the three coins are specimens ( so called SMS ) for they would have been struck in late 1964 or 1965. I also doubt that any of the three coins would grade MS67 or better as probably not much care was taken when mounting the set. The history of the presention set is probably worth more then having the three coins graded and removed.
This Presentation set was aquired by D.J. St. Germain Investments directly from James Reed some time after 1967 and remained with D.J. until his death. Mrs ? Haunton a daughter of D.J. then inherited the set and later passed it on to her son C. Haunton of Omaha Nebraska. My wife recently purchased the set as a gift for me.
I am looking into submission options to see the best way to verify the originality or the set.

I hope you took the "wife" out to dinner, maybe some flowers?
gosh i truly have no advice other then if you could attend a show where pcgs had a booth set up and you rounded up any and all documentation that you could
the close-ups those finger prints most likely have etched in...the coins aren't the sms unicorns better close-ups including the reverse is needed for any real guess on grades. the reverse condition of the shields can really make or break a grade
my overall take is...it really would take some work n luck to see any attribute and i'd just leave it as is hanging on a wall and keep it in the family without submission persuits

This is the only way to keep the set. To remove them just for grading would be a travesty. I hope your wife liked the dinner she got, she deserved it. The ownership lineage should be maintained with set. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool. This is an example where the packaging and provenance is worth way more than the coins. Leave it alone, I'd buy that anytime without a 3rd party opinion.

Based on the pics, I don't believe any of the 3 will grade 67. And, as stated by a previous poster, they are not SMS. I believe the presentation as is would be worth more than having the 3 coins in PCGS plastic...JMHO.

<< <i>what if you have 3 1964 sms kennedy's there...cha ching >>
That is a very real possiblity. Look at the date that is very early in the year. If it was mine I would hand carry it to PCGS to be verified.
by the way...is this yours or is it somewhere for sale??????????

I don't think the second one will grade so extremely high but it looks like it's from a new die.

I agree. Cracking them out would be a mistake.
